Bienvenue à Unité 3

We are currently working on Unit 3 of the Discovering French, Nouveau!–Bleu program. It focuses on authentic culture and real-life communication in French. It practices reading, writing, listening, and speaking, and introduces students to culture typical of France. By comparing French language and culture with their own community, students employ their critical thinking skills.

In this unit, students are learning to describe daily activities, express likes and dislikes, ask and answer questions, invite friends to do something, and accept or turn down an invitation. In addition, they are also learning about grammar—how to conjugate and use regular –er verbs and the irregular verbs être and faire in both the affirmative and negative.
